IGLOO SECURITY, INC. acquired 3 data/SIEM patents Securing core technical competencies to increase data utilization and security efficiency

- IGLOO Security expands research and development in data and security fields… Focus on quickly selecting and utilizing key data and improving security efficiency

[February 15, 2022] IGLOO Security, a leading artificial intelligence (AI) based cybersecurity company (CEO Lee Deuk-Choon, www.igloosec.com/en) registered three patents specializing in data and integrated security monitoring (SIEM) fields. The three patents registered by IGLOO Security this time aim to increase the efficiency of processing large amounts of data and improve the ease of use of SIEM solutions.

One data patent is a technology for rapidly sampling and extracting core data for AI algorithms to learn from a vast dataset with a mixture of categorical and continuity properties. By using the indexing technique that displays the properties of each object in the dataset on an n-dimensional plane with n variables and divides the space of the data accordingly, it is possible to efficiently extract the required dataset in a timely manner.

The other data patent is focused on solving the server load problem that occurs when processing large amounts of data. Through DB redundancy so that the master database (DB) included in the replica set and the slave DB that replicated the master DB are included in each server, it is possible to efficiently distribute the server load and optimize availability and response time.

The third patent is a technology that supports the installation and operation of an integrated security monitoring (SIEM) solution. From the package to the log collection module, the installation operation for a series of elements constituting the SIEM is performed autonomously, and it focuses on standardizing and automatically registering a plurality of data required for the operation of the SIEM solution. Through this, it is possible to increase the convenience and operability of solution installation and to increase the ability to respond to new and variant attacks.

Lee Deuk-Choon, CEO of IGLOO Security, said, “In order to respond quickly to increasingly intelligent cyber threats, it is essential to have data and security capabilities that can timely find and utilize meaningful information from vast amounts of data. We will continue our research and development in the data and security fields, and put our energy into securing core technology capabilities that increase data usability and security efficiency.”
