IGLOO SECURITY, INC. acquired two SIEM and cloud patents Securing core technical competencies to
increase data utilization and security efficiency

- IGLOO Security continues to secure original patented technology that enhances corporate competitiveness

[January 11, 2022] IGLOO Security, INC., a leading artificial intelligence (AI)-based cybersecurity company (CEO Lee Deuk-Choon, www.igloosec.com/en) announced that it has completed the registration of two patents specialized in the integrated security monitoring (SIEM) and cloud fields. The two patents are aimed at increasing the efficiency of processing exponentially generated security data and improving the ease of use of SIEM solutions in multi-cloud environments.

One patent is a technology that efficiently processes large data based on the clustering technique. The values of data that need to be grouped are compared in the memory within each node, and if specific conditions are the same according to a set similarity criterion, it is determined as grouping target data. Through distributed grouping processing for each node, ‘shuffling’, which is the process of data exchange between servers, is minimized, and the problem of network and memory performance degradation can be prevented.

The other patent is a technology that automatically installs integrated security management (SIEM) software on multiple cloud servers in a multi-cloud environment using a common security monitoring template that reflects multiple cloud server information. This eliminates the hassle of having to apply virtual machines, virtual networks, and storage configurations in different ways for different types of cloud servers, and enables efficient software execution.

Lee Deuk-Choon, CEO of IGLOO Security, said, “IGLOO Security has been expanding investment in R&D to secure original patented technology over the past few years. In 2022, we will continue to invest in R&D to secure core technology capabilities that increase data utilization and security efficiency.”
