IGLOO SECURITY, Inc. acquired cloud security related patent

- IGLOO SECURITY blocks off the threats of leaking secret data on cloud by acquiring cloud security related patent

[14 April 2016] IGLOO SECURITY (CEO Deuk choon Lee, www.igloosec.com), a leading company in the next generation integrated security management, announced on 14 April that it acquired a patent on the ‘system and method for automatic conversion of major data’ related with cloud-based service (No. 10-2015-0158004). IGLOO SECURITY is planning to provide cloud-based security software and data analysis service by using this patented technology.
 
Cloud has many advantages for raising the productivity and cost efficiency as it can be used where there is internet connection regardless of place and time by paying only for the cost used without the need to separately allocate the manpower for management. However, in spite of these advantages, the introduction of cloud system in Korea is slow. This is mainly on concerns of insecurity of entrusting major corporate information to outside company and the possibility of easy leakage of corporate confidential data in the event of cyber threat via cloud or breakdown of cloud service.

The patent acquired by IGLOO SECURITY is on a system for automatically converting major data between cloud environments that effectively prevents leakage of sensitive confidential data, such as complaints processing, sales and customer information to outside the company. Therefore, it can reduce the cost burden of customers while raising the convenience and reinforcing the cloud environment.

IGLOO SECURITY expects that this patent can be helpful in resolving  of companies and institutions that hesitated the introduction of cloud system based service software (SaaS) on the concern for invasion accident and leakage of confidential information and rapidly raising the productivity and efficiency.

Also, IGLOO SECURITY is planning to provide the security function and data analysis software service of representative integrated security management solution, SPiDER TM, in a cloud-based environment by using this patent. By providing security function and data analysis service that can be installed, run and operated in a virtual cloud-based environment, customers will be able to easily use the relevant function and service online.
