IGLOO Corporation Collaborates with Rebellion on AI Security Products & Services Commercialization… Forming an AI Alliance

- IGLOO Corporation and Rebellion Combine Unique AI Technologies to Strengthen AI Security Market Leadership
- IGLOO Corporation Expands AI Business Portfolio through Commercialization of AI Security Products and Services

[July 16, 2024] AI-driven security. Smarter operations. IGLOO Corporation leads the future of cyber defense. IGLOO Corporation, a leader in AI security, and Rebellion, a rising star in AI semiconductors, have joined forces. IGLOO Corporation (CEO Deuk-Choon Lee, www.igloo.co.kr), an AI-powered security operations and analytics platform company, announced that it signed a mutual strategic partnership (MOU) with AI semiconductor startup Rebellion (CEO Sung-Hyun Park, rebellions.ai) on the 15th, regarding the commercialization of AI security products and services.

Since embarking on AI R&D in 2015, IGLOO Corporation has been dedicated to advancing AI-based security solutions and services. In 2023, it demonstrated its AI security leadership by launching ‘AiR,’ Korea’s first AI detection model service, which incorporates its unique classification, explanatory, and generative AI technologies. Rebellion, a leading domestic AI semiconductor company, began mass-producing ‘ATOM,’ its Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for data centers, this year. ATOM, launched last year, achieved the first data center commercialization in Korea and is currently the only mass-produced product that supports Small Language Model (SLM) acceleration.

This MOU was signed to develop a business model for AI security products and services. The two companies will combine IGLOO Corporation's AI detection model technology with Rebellion's AI semiconductor technology to develop an ‘AI Security Assistant’ system that enhances the operational efficiency, productivity, and stability of security organizations. Based on a collaborative system rooted in both companies' unique know-how and business capabilities, they will also accelerate joint marketing activities and new customer acquisition.

IGLOO Corporation plans to leverage this MOU to focus on expanding and advancing its AI security product and service lineup, thereby growing its AI business portfolio. By applying its unique AI technology to all its security solutions and services, the company supports security organizations in agilely responding to sophisticated cyber threats that exploit AI. Furthermore, based on over 20 years of experience analyzing security data, IGLOO Corporation is committed to securing high-quality security data, which is essential for AI security models.

Deuk-Choon Lee, CEO of IGLOO Corporation, stated, "As the use of generative AI increases across all industries, security threats exploiting it are also rapidly surging. To counteract this, attack defense technologies leveraging AI must be applied throughout an organization's security operations. By providing an ‘AI Security Assistant’ system that combines the strengths of both companies, we aim to help all security organizations further strengthen their cyber threat defense capabilities."

Sung-Hyun Park, CEO of Rebellion, stated, "To reliably provide services utilizing generative AI, optimized hardware is essential. Through this collaboration with IGLOO Corporation, Rebellion will do its utmost in technical and business cooperation to ensure the ‘AI Security Assistant’ system operates more efficiently based on ‘ATOM,’ our SLM-specialized AI semiconductor."
