[July 6th2012] A leading integrated security management company for next generation, Igloo security (CEO :Lee Deuk-choon, www.igloosec.co.kr) has been selected as the specialist in the field of information security of the 6thAsia-Pacific Information Security Leadership Achievements.
ISLA programs sponsored by one of the world’s biggest non-profit information security group and management enterprise of CISSP, (ISC)² are the events that show appreciation of leaders in the field of information security who have spared no effort throughout Asia to raise public awareness about information security and establish the culture of ethical workforce.
ISLA programs are usually divided into ‘Senior information security professional’, ‘Information security practitioner’ and ‘Managerial professional for information security project’ and CEO Lee Deuk-choon was selected as the leading specialist in the field of information security as his achievements to contribute to revitalization of exchanges between nations and spread of awareness in respect of information security in the Asia-Pacific region were recognized.
In particular, for the past two years of presidency in KISIA, CEO Lee successfully concluded MOU contract for mutual cooperation between 11 organizations from 9 countries and by forging an actively working human network, paved the path for security communities in the Asia-Pacific region, and those remarkable achievements were highly regarded by the judges.
The CEO of (ISC)², W. Hord Tipton was quoted as saying, “This year capabilities of the candidate recommended as contenders for ISLA programs were outstanding compared to those in the previous years, and it leads to make me ruminate on the selection of one person to award the prize”, and he went on to say, “I sincerely hope that Asia-Pacific ISLA programs serve as leaders that take the initiative in securing digital assets and vital infrastructures and encouraging prominent leaders in the security industry.
CEO Lee Deuk-choon of Igloo security stated,“The prize I have been awarded was not to commend individual achievements or contributions, but it was to give applaud to contributions made by all staffs in Igloo security”이. He went on to say that “Taking this opportunity, we will actively put forward measures for mutual prosperity and cooperation rather than establishment of human network by taking exchanges in the Asia-Pacific region to the next level.”
Meanwhile, (ISC)² program which marks the 6th anniversary this year is planning to hold ISLA gala dinner in the presence of CEO Lee and other awardees in the Asia-Pacific region on July 17th in Tokyo Hilton Hotel. In addition, on 17th and 18th of July in the same venueSecureAsia@Tokyoconference, a security leadership event of (ISC)² will also be held.
